Employment Solutions provides dependable transportation for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need help getting from home to their place of employment.

Our service can include door-to-door pickup, transportation to the job site, and return transportation home, based on the individual’s approved service plan and transportation needs.

How Medicaid Works

For eligible individuals, transportation may be funded through Kentucky Medicaid waiver services. Kentucky’s Supports for Community Living (SCL) waiver includes transportation and supported employment services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Coverage and authorization depend on the individual’s Medicaid eligibility, waiver enrollment, and person-centered service plan. Transportation must be approved as an appropriate service and may not be available when another transportation resource is already provided.

1. Talk with the individual’s case manager.
The case manager can determine whether transportation is an appropriate Medicaid waiver service and help include it in the individual’s service plan.

2. Confirm eligibility and authorization.
Transportation services must be authorized under the applicable Medicaid program or waiver.

3. Schedule transportation.
Once services are approved, we coordinate pickup times, the work schedule, and return transportation.
